Izh (Bol’shoi Izh), a river in the Udmurt ASSR and Tatar ASSR, a right tributary of the Kama. Length, 259 km; basin area, 8,510 sq km. The river is fed primarily by snow. The average flow of water at the settlement of Lebedinoe Ozero is 34. 1 cu m per sec. The Izh freezes in the middle of November, breaking up in the middle of April.
